Rajmohan Gandhi, author of more than a dozen books, is a historian and biographer. He has written widely on the Indian independence movement and its leaders, Indo-Pakistan relations, human rights, and conflict resolution. He is a grandson of Mahatma Gandhi and former President of Initiatives of Change International (IofC). From 1990 to 1992 he was a member of the Rajya Sabha. In 2002 he received the Sahitya Akademi Award for his Rajaji: A Life (biography of Chakravarti Rajagopalachari). He is also a scholar-in-residence at the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar.
